Program Assistant, GW Votes


Vidya Muthupillai (She/Her) is a third-year student at George Washington University studying Political Science and International Affairs with a Concentration in International Environmental Studies and a Minor in Sustainability. On campus, she works in the Honey W. Nashman Center as a Project Assistant for GW Votes where she helps plan and execute GW's voter engagement strategies, including launching and supporting the GW Votes Ambassador team. She also serves as a Project Assistant for the GW Office of Sustainability, supporting the launch and implementation of sustainability initiatives and programs on campus, and is conducting research as an Undergraduate Sustainability Research Fellow for the 2023-24 year. Vidya has previously worked as a Student Correspondent with Planet Forward, a climate and environmental storytelling platform based out of GW's School of Media and Public Affairs, as a White House Intern for the Office of the Vice President, and as a Congressional Intern for her Congressman, Rep. Al Green (TX-09). She identifies with storytelling and activism, and hopes to one day return home to Texas to fight for positive political and environmental change in her community.
