Annette M. Thomson

Annette’s earliest computer memories are playing games and programming BASIC on her family’s VIC20 and hours spent online exploring Prodigy. She credits her childhood exposure to computers for her talents translating between technical and non-technical people, as well as her ability to see the big picture and break it down into smaller, manageable tasks. 

Today in GW’s Office of Communications and Marketing Annette leads the team responsible for shaping the GW web and mobile presence. With a background in web development and more than a decade of project and people management, she strives to make a positive impact on GW’s digital presence, whether it’s delivering a feature that will be used by thousands of people or providing one-on-one client support.

Annette is a graduate of the GWSB MS in Information Systems Technology program and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at SEAS.
