Daphna Atias

Daphna joined GW in April 2020 after working at the University of Michigan's Center for Research on Learning and Teaching and, most recently, at the Center for Advancement of Learning at the University of the District of Columbia. She has extensive experience facilitating faculty professional development programming, promoting inclusive teaching, and conducting classroom observations and mid-semester student feedback sessions. Her areas of interest include equity-focused and anti-racist teaching practices, alternative grading models, training graduate student instructors, and teaching writing. A specialist in early American literature, she has teaching experience in numerous environments, including secondary and undergraduate literature and composition courses.
