Miki Nishida Goerdt, LCSW, LCSW-C, ATR-BC is an adjunct faculty member (GW art therapy graduate program), a Board-Certified Art Therapist and a Clinical Social Worker licensed in Virginia and Maryland. Her clinical interests are aging related issues, death and dying, grief, culturally responsive therapy, racial identity development, racial trauma, and support for mental health therapists who hold marginalized identities. As a clinician, an educator/supervisor, and a social justice advocate, she is committed to applying anti-oppressive approaches in her practice and pedagogy. As a visual artist, Miki often exhibits her paintings, mixed media art, and printmaking in gallery shows throughout the United States.
