Captain Mullinax joined the George Washington University Police Department in January of 2022 after retiring from a law enforcement agency in Knoxville, Tennessee. He has a Master of Public Safety from the University of Virginia. He is a graduate of the 268th Session of The FBI National Academy and the 51st Session of The National Forensic Academy.
