Amaya Bullock

My name is Amaya Bullock and I am a first-year Grad student in the GSEDH obtaining a Masters's degree in Higher Education Administration. I graduated this past year in 2023 from Loyola University Maryland with a bachelor's in Sociology and a minor in Urban Education. My personal and professional experiences in and outside of the classroom are what have led me to develop a passion and hopefully a future career in DEI. I would like to one day be part of a change in higher education where inclusive, diverse, and equitable spaces are created that allow underrepresented students to feel seen, heard, and comfortable within Higher Education.The best way I have felt that I can do this is by pursuing the Masters' degree as well as gain experience and knowledge as a Grad Assistant for GW's Multicultural Student Services Center(MSSC) and fellow for GW's Director of DEI, Dr. Dwayne Wright.
